VINzvit is a free, non-commercial project run by volunteers. It started in Ukraine, where many used cars are imported from the EU and the USA, and now covers European buyers too.
Why we do this
Used-car fraud is ordinary and cheap: an odometer is rolled back in minutes, a flood or salvage car is repaired and resold, a car with a bad past changes country and starts a clean life. Much of the truth is already public — in registers, auction records and old listings — but scattered across dozens of sites and languages. We put it together in one report, for free.
What we promise
We use only open and public data, and we say where each fact comes from.
We do not show personal data about owners or sellers.
We do not sell reports, data, advertising or your attention.
We correct or remove a record when someone shows us it is wrong.
How we are funded
We are not. The project runs on volunteers' time and their own servers. If that ever changes, we will say so on this page before anything else changes.
